The “CBS EVENING NEWS WITH KATIE COURIC” to Broadcast Live From Philadelphia as CBS 3 and The CW Philly 57 Dedicate New High Definition Broadcast Center PHILADELPHIA, PA — (MARKET WIRE) — May 18, 2007 — The “CBS EVENING NEWS WITH KATIE COURIC”will broadcast live from Philadelphia
on Tuesday, May 22nd as CBS 3(KYW-TV) and its sister station The CW Philly 57 (WPSG-TV) officiallydedicate their new high definition broadcast center in the Fairmountsection of the City, President and General Manager Michael Colleran hasannounced.
Couric will join City and State officials, community leaders and otherdignitaries for the studios’ dedication ceremony and celebrationimmediately following the broadcast from a downtown location.

The CBS 3/CW Philly 57 Broadcast Center, which went live on April 2nd, isbelieved to be the first entirely HD news operations in the country builtfrom the ground up. The new facility is the fifth home of CBS 3 in thestation’s 75-year history. The first television station in the market, CBS3 was originally operated out of the Philco plant at C & Tioga Streets inPhiladelphia. Most recently, the station had been broadcasting from itsIndependence Mall studios since 1972. Sister station Philly 57 joined thestation there in 2000 when it became part of the CBS family.
CBS 3 and The CW Philly 57 are part of CBS Television Stations, a divisionof CBS Corporation. Kaplan, a multiple award-winning news producer andexecutive spanning a career in broadcast journalism of more than 35 years,was named Executive Producer, “CBS EVENING NEWS WITH KATIE COURIC” in March2007. The “CBS EVENING NEWS” airs weeknights at 6:30 PM, ET on CBS 3.
