3 Scandinavia launches high speed HSPA network delivered by Ericsson in Denmark STOCKHOLM, SWEDEN — (MARKET WIRE) — November 21, 2006 —
Ericsson’s (NASDAQ: ERIC) customer 3, is launching one of the world’sfastest mobile broadband networks. The HSPA network will now be livealso in Denmark.
This upgrade to High Speed Packet Access (HSPA)
enables 3’s customersto a new generation of mobile services, including mobile broadband,mobile video and mobile music. Under the agreement, Ericsson hasdelivered commercial HSPA hardware, software and implementationservices.
3’s network is turbo charged with HSPA and more than 100 times fasterthan dial-up and up to ten times faster than other 3G networks. 3’scustomers will experience network download speeds averaging 1 Mbps to1.5 Mbps, and peak network speeds of up to 3.6 Mbps, increasing up to7.2 Mbps next year.
